Is it okay to leave my Porsche sit for a month or two?

What happens to your Porsche vehicle if it isn’t driven for a few weeks?

While the Stay at Home orders are ongoing, we are not driving our vehicles as much as we used to. There can be some negative effects to your Porsche vehicle if you let it sit too long. Keep reading to learn more about what can happen and how you can prevent it.

Negative effects to your Porsche vehicle if it sits too long

Vehicles are like bodies and they need their exercise too. If they are stationary for too long they may break down and not function the way they are supposed to. Some of the effects that can happen include a drained battery, gummed up fuel, engine oil deterioration and flat tires.

How to keep the health of your vehicle during quarantine

Try to keep your gas tank full when your vehicle isn’t in use. This way it cuts down on the settled moisture. Every two weeks take your Porsche out for a ten-minute drive. Try to accelerate up to 50 miles per hour to ensure you have the engine warm enough and have all the fluids running through it. Keep your tires are the optimal pressure. If you are unsure which is the best pressure to keep your tires at, check out your vehicle manual.
